Not all sessions link directly with North Bedford Diving Club, but further progression and competition opportunities are available regardless.

New Divers
To join the club, you must first book and attend lessons at Robinson Pool. Once you have registered and attended for several weeks, we can assess your ability and if at the appropriate stardard, refer you up to the club for additional training and competition opportunities, if you wish.

Lesson fees are payable via Direct Debit to Robinson Pool (managed by Fusion Lifestyle), and all registration and administration is handled by the them. All sessions are taken by qualified coaches, with the maximum number of participants for any one training session never exceeding 15.

We recommend arriving 5 or 10 minutes before the session starts so you can warm-up and begin promptly as we must finish on time.

Club Membership
For those who we invite for competition level diving, you will need to become a club member for a small additional fee (payable to the club) which includes:

  • Club t-shirt
  • Tuition from qualified coaches
  • Video coaching during extra training sessions
  • Membership to the ASA (our governing body)
  • Insurance during club sessions and events (details)
  • Optional trampoline / dry-land training workshops
  • The opportunity to enter competitions
  • Subsidised travel costs and entry fees for events

Video Coaching
Occasionally we use our Video coaching system to instantly replay the last dive so the diver can see themselves in 'real-time'. Playback is delayed by about 45 seconds so the diver has enough time to leave the water, get feedback from the coach, and watch the video. We can also record the sessions to DVD so they can be watched at a later date.
